White Construction Inc Awarded 300 Mw Of Wind Work With Horizon Wind Energy
White Construction Inc. has been selected by Horizon Wind Energy, owned by EDP Renewables, to construct 200 Megawatts (MW) of wind energy in White County, Indiana, and 100 MW in Kittitas County, Washington.

On Horizon's Meadow Lake Wind Farm, White will be constructing two phases. One phase will consist of 69 GE SLE 1.5 MW turbines, and the other phase will consist of 48 Suzlon S88 2.1 MW turbines. The work began in March 2010 and will be complete by October 2010. White's Meadow Lake work will bring an additional 200 MW of clean energy to the region.

On Horizon Wind Energy's Kittitas Valley Wind Farm, White Construction has been selected as the Civil Contractor and will be constructing 100 MW, consisting of 48 Suzlon S88 2.1 MW turbines. The work began on March 29, 2010 and will be complete in October 2010.

White Construction Inc. has been involved in the construction of more than 4,000 MW of wind across the U.S. and Canada. To date, White Construction Inc. has had the pleasure of working with Horizon Wind Energy on eight wind projects.
